«Love Against War» – my work at the photo exhibition at the Gogol Library in Kyiv, January-February 2025.

The Kyivphotos-Hall 2012 art association invites you to visit the salon of Ukrainian art photography «Love Against War».

The final exhibition of the photo contest will be held from January 27 to February 24, 2025 in the art space of the Mykola Gogol Library in Kyiv.

Description:

"It's a time of war and we are all doing our best to protect our country. But creative artistic processes take place both in peace and in war!

Love gives us incredible strength and power. It is love that inspires us to devote ourselves to those we love and take care of them. Love is built on sympathy, trust, and positive emotions. However, love is not just passion. Love is associated with values, which are more acutely perceived in times of war. At a time when the defenders are defending the country around the clock, and civilians are living in a situation of uncertainty and under the threat of shelling, everyone desperately needs at least minimal stability. In this situation, only love can create a microcosm where there is a sense of trust, control and mutual understanding."

The selection for the final exhibition of the Photo Contest is carried out by a curatorial group:

• Vitaliy Nosach, a photojournalist at RBC-Ukraine. He has over 10 years of experience in photojournalism. He has worked with Reuters, Associated Press, EPA, Getty Images, BBC News, Forbes, CNN.
• Iryna Antonovych, TV journalist, news presenter at Ukrainian Radio, brand voice of Ukrainian Radio Culture.
• Andriy Fursenko, photographer, member of the National Union of Photographers of Ukraine, actively participates in photo exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.

Charity of the photo salon: 100 UAH from each author registration fee will go to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
