Photo exhibition "Cats and People" in Kyiv (2018)
In the second half of August 2018, I organized my first personal photo exhibition dedicated to the charity project Kotomistechko (In Ukrainian: Cat Town) in Kyiv. More than half of the photographs covered the stages of building the Cat Town, the volunteers and the cats they rescued (I was among them). The second half are artistic portraits that reflect my development as a photographer.
Place: Kyiv, State Library of Ukraine for Youth, 122 Holosiivskyi Ave.
Date: August 15-28, 2018.
We also raised funds for the construction of the Cat Town with the help of the photo exhibition (there was a piggy bank at the exhibition).
The entrance was free.
The Art Cat photo exhibition was the first event where fifteen of my works of different genres were presented at once.
I am grateful to the artists and photographers Serhiy Rozov, Anatoliy Lomovskyi and Hanna Rybalchenko for their inspiration and technical support; to the furry characters – Zoocats and the human characters – Tetiana Zhushman, Hanna Nuzhna, Daria Voronkova, Nadiya Kozhar, Maryna Novikova, Tetiana Kabanets and Iryna Klymenko.
